7.18.12 Childrens Portraits: An evening at the zoo

Part two of Raya's photos took place at the zoo!  This is a favorite spot for her and her family.  She goes here almost once a week and is a big fan of the animals.  It was so cute to see Raya in this environment and I think it was a great idea to have photos in this location because it is a favorite past time for her.  She will be able to look back at these pictures one day and they will have meaning to her and to her parents. :)

7.10.12 Photoshop Design: Ben Bruce Benefit

Recently I created a concert style poster to advertise for a benefit concert some friends of mine are putting on.  The concert is to benefit a wonderful family who also happen to be friends of mine. The event takes place this Saturday and I am really looking forward to gathering together with some great people, listening to some uplifting music by Thomas Hall, and supporting the Bruce family.  They have been through a difficult battle with weeks and weeks of hospitalization and rehab with meningitis and now a cancer diagnosis and upcoming weeks and weeks of treatment. 

So, here it is: My Photoshop creation promoting a concert that I hope will be a big help to this family in their time of need.

6.25.2012 Family Pictures

Jenn has been such a supporter of my blog - letting me know that at least one person outside my family reads it (ha!) and making me feel supported in this little endeavor.

So, being able to take pictures of this family for the second year was something I looked forward to. I felt honored to capture their family portraits in the midst of their hospital stays and chemo treatments.  I enjoyed seeing how much love and attention they have for each other.

Also, their daughter is adorable - so that's a plus.  :)  I cannot believe how much she has grown since last year's photos.
