11.25.2011 Family Portraits

My second session on Black Friday was this lovely family.  Erin was home from college for Thanksgiving so we scheduled a quick session of family portraits.  I don't think this session even felt like work...I had four fun, photogenic people that I barely had to direct. 

I should thank my mom for being my assitant at both sessions on Friday.  She was a great assistant...she even took a call from my as-sister-ant, Hilary, on the way.  I believe they were fighting over the job...and I think Hilary told her I was some kind of diva photographer, which is not true at all.

11.25.2011 Childrens Portraits: Graham & Avery

Black Friday did not have me gearing up to stand in lines for the best deals of the year- thankfully! I don't think I could ever stand those crowds.  Instead I was gearing up for two sessions of photos with two great families. 

The morning session was for the two adorable kids you are about to see.  I have known Graham & Avery's mom since I was in elementary school. She's the older, wiser, liked-to-give-us-a-hard-time sister of one of my elementary school friends.  I spent the time between booking this session & meeting Melissa and her family out on their farm, reminiscing about the days Hilary & I spent out on their farm growing up... playing in the barn stall next to the livestock, investigating old out buildings, swinging on the tire swing, and meandering up and down the long driveway.  Great memories.

It was fun to see Melissa again and meet her children.  Here are a few of my favorites...

11.13.2011 Senior Pics: Wesley

I'm told Wesley throws a very fast pitch for Whitko Highschool's baseball team. So, taking senior pictures of Wesley in his element on his baseball field was awesome.  We hit a few other locations and tried to stay out of the crazy wind that Sunday afternoon.  It was really such an enjoyable afternoon with Wesley, his mom, and my as-sister-ant, as I will now be referring to my assistant/sister, Hilary.

I also took a great modeling shot of Hilary on this outing carrying my camera bag and channeling Tyra Banks...I plan to edit it and post it asap. If I can get her permission...

11.3.2011 Senior Pics: 2012 Senior Girls

It was cold, windy and almost rainy, but we still had a great time taking some groups pics of these senior girls who have been great friends all through their years at WCHS.  These will be fun for them to look back on one day...

Taking headshots was a first for me, but Thomas gave me the basics and totally helped me out.  Thomas needed these pics for upcoming performances and I was excited to be able to do this!
