9.15.2012 Wedding Day: Erin

This part of wedding photography is totally do-able for me. Just low key candid photos of a bride preparing for her big day. When Erin asked me to come take photos of her and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready the morning of the wedding I gladly said I would because I really love the excitement and happiness of wedding days. Although this is typically part of what your wedding photographer might do, Erin had her (amazing) photographer for a set amount of time and did not want to ask too much of her.  Lucky me! :)

I hope this glimpse into a few of the photos from that morning portrays the love & excitement of the day. And I really hope these photos will be the things that trigger the memories of that morning for Erin in years to come.  The little details of her first home, the cell phone she had in 2012, Pretty Woman playing in the background, sweet moments with her mom, and laughs with her friends and soon to be sister-in-law.

9.17.2012 Newborn Portraits: Norah

Norah was born on labor day a week earlier than her due date- which was totally fine with her loving family who were all so eager to meet her. I've enjoyed taking photos of Norah's older sister and her family for a couple years now, so i was also eager to meet her and spend some time with them while we captured a few moments of her at two weeks old.

I have to mention that the piano photo is especially meaningful to this musical family because this piano belonged to Norah's great grandfather and has now been passed down to her grandparents.  Her older sister enjoys lessons from grandpa on the piano and I'm sure some day Norah will too.  :)

9.11.2012 Family Portraits

I had so much fun meeting Stacy, Jared and their adorable girls. It didn't even feel like we were meeting for the first time because they were so easy going and easy to chat with.  We met at their home and I was excited to see that it was surrounded by fields and a beautiful old barn that has been in Jared's family for years and years.  I love old barns and feel like I'm always on the lookout for this kind of backdrop that they just happen to have right in their backyard. They are also close to the local picturesque bridge which is meaningful to them because their family built it a long time ago. I knew we were off to a great start. :)

Here is what we ended up with!
