5.30.2013 Senior Portraits: Tyler

I have known Tyler's mom for over a decade which is why it is so hard to believe he will be a senior in high school! How can he be this old?

Tyler's session of senior photos was a crazy mix of sun, thunder, rainbows and downpours.  Despite having to take a slight intermission due to the weather we found some great locations and captured some great images of Tyler.

05.08.2013 Senior Pictures: Nolan

Nolan will be graduating from highschool in a few weeks and in a few more months he'll be off to Lafayette to start a degree in computer science at Purdue. It's a whirlwind time in his life! I remember the chaos well. We had a sort of mini session last week with his parents to take a few senior photos before it all begins...

4.26.2013 Senior Photos: Sydney

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

...and the photo season is picking up again! I'm getting inquiries and starting to schedule things and I'm excited to be able to share the first session of 2013.  Sydney is graduating very soon and we had such a nice Friday evening taking some senior photos for her. I don't think she could take a bad photo - I loved so many of these.

8.22.2012 Senior Pictures: Kassidy

Senior pictures are so much fun! And Kassidy was a lot of fun too - she had ideas on what she would like and picked the location on her own, but she was open to my ideas and went with it. I had an assistant (Hilary) and Kassidy had an assistant (Gabe) and the four of us hiked all over these pastures, woods, and fields.  We were kinda dusty and hot and maybe having some allergy attacks by the time the evening was over, but it was worth it!

And a special thanks to Kassidy's mom, Cindy, for providing water for us - we needed it! And to the wonderful family friend and home owner who helped us hold that little tree in the woods! :)  We had quite the group effort going for this session!

4.29.2012 Senior Portraits: Emily

Oh the connections of living in a small town...and working in the Orthopaedics world.  Emily heard of me through friends at school and asked me to take her senior pictures. Once I met her and her mom, we realized her dad and I work for the same company, her mom and my dad work for the same company, her mom used to work where I work and therefore we know tons of the same people... So funny.  I loved meeting them and making these connections.

Emily is just easy to take photos of - she is so cute.  We were able to show her love of soccer, her highschool job, and alot of her personality in these pictures.  This is what I love about senior pictures - documenting who you are at this big moment in your life.  A photographer, whose blog I love, wrote recently that she is in the business of memory documentation. I love that.  It may become my new tagline... :)
