Having a photography hobby gives you such a great excuse to see old friends! First of all - it means the world to me that a friend of mine from out of town thinks highly enough of what I'm doing with my little past time that she would take time out of her busy family weekend back home to hire me to take family pictures.
Second of all - It gave us a great reason to spend some time together after a few busy years of not seeing each other. And it was so great to see each other. I'm smiling now thinking about how you have certain friends where it's like no time has passed at all... and you immediately remember why you loved each other so much back then...and wonder why you let so much time pass between visits.
And so here is a look at this family who, as Stacy reminded me, I knew separately before they were a couple and with whom I had many fun college and wedding memories. And now they have an adorable family with the sweetest kids.

10.6.12 Family Portraits
Another year of fall family portraits for these guys. :) But, it's the first year Gabi is eye to eye with me!
Suddenly it's fall and these pictures definitely look like fall! I swear it was just summer two seconds ago, but the day we took these photos it was CHILLY! And then we all went and had a bonfire together at our friend Kim's... what a fun Saturday!

9.27.2012 Childrens Portraits: Elizabeth
I kind of wanted to post every picture from this group of photos of Elizabeth. So many expressions...
Elizabeth turned one a few months ago. She is a smiley, content little girl and she made this session pretty easy for me. The other two things that helped make this session easy for me were Elizabeth's mom and her Uncle Bob... (my sister in law and my husband). :) This is the first photo session that Bob has come on and he was very helpful not only in carrying stuff around for us, but also in getting these cute smiles you will see below. He's pretty funny and also can juggle, which is apparently always a crowd pleaser for Elizabeth.
Elizabeth with these apples was pretty hilarious. I think she could have been entertained with an apple for hours... and actually the three of us might have been content to watch her and her apple antics for hours!

9.19.2012 Family Portraits
This was year two for me photographing this cute little family. Last year we had a rainy, gloomy winter session that ended early because of the cold & wet weather! This year we really lucked out with some fantastic weather and a beautiful sunset. I was so pleased with the entire set of pictures from this session. Loved the colors they chose for thier outifts and the fun, playful pics!
